Itinerary
Day 1
Tashkent
Upon arrival at Tashkent International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Check-in is available from 14:00. After settling in, you will have the rest of the day free to explore the city at your leisure. Depending on your arrival and departure times, we may make adjustments to the itinerary on the first and last days in the sightseeing section. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
Tashkent
After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Tashkent, beginning with the Hast Imam Complex, which includes the Tilla Shaikh Mosque and the 16th-century Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum, home to a significant religious library. Continue to the religious centers of Kukeldash Madrassah, one of Tashkent’s few remaining grand architectural monuments from the 16th century, Mui Mubarak Madrassah, Juma Mosque, and the Imam Ismail al-Bukhari Islamic Institute, where you can view the original Quran of Uthman ibn Affan. In the afternoon, visit the bustling Chorsu Market, concluding your exploration of the old city. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3
Tashkent / Khiva
Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Tashkent Airport for your flight to Urgench. Upon arrival around 09:00 AM, you’ll meet your driver and guide and be transferred to Khiva. Explore the ancient walled city of Ichan-Kala, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its well-preserved architecture and rich history. Visit the Ismail Khodja Mausoleum, the resting place of a revered Khiva vizier, and the Mohammed Amin Khan Madrassah, the largest madrassah in Central Asia. Discover the Kunya-Ark Castle, the residence of Khiva’s rulers, and admire the iconic Kalta Minor Tower, famous for its unfinished yet stunning turquoise-tiled exterior. Learn about the ancient Zoroastrian heritage at the Avesta Museum. The tour continues with a visit to the Tash-Hovli Palace, once home to Khiva’s Khans, the Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, a revered Sufi shrine, and the historic Juma Mosque, noted for its 218 wooden columns. Day 4
Khiva / Bukhara
After breakfast, depart at 09:00 for a scenic drive to Bukhara through the vast Kyzylkum Desert, known for its striking sand dunes and sparse vegetation, offering a glimpse into the region's unique landscape. Arrive in Bukhara at approximately 15:00 and enjoy free time to relax or explore the city at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5
Bukhara
After breakfast, begin your city tour with a visit to the Lyabi-Hauz Complex, a vibrant cultural hub since the Middle Ages, known for its trade, entertainment, music, and gastronomy. This ensemble includes the Nodir-Divan-Begi Madrassah, Kukeldash Madrassah, and the tranquil pond at its center. Continue to the Magoki Attori Mosque and the bustling market domes of Taki-Zargaron. Explore the Poi Kalyan Complex, which features the iconic Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque, and the Miri Arab Madrassah. In the afternoon, visit the Ark Fortress, the former residence of Bukhara’s rulers, and explore nearby landmarks, including the world-renowned Samanid Mausoleum, a masterpiece of early Islamic architecture. Day 6
Bukhara / Samarkand
After breakfast, begin your city tour with a visit to the charming Chor-Minor Madrassah, distinguished by its four unique minarets, and Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, the exquisite summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir. This palace is a rare blend of Oriental and Russian architectural styles, offering a glimpse into the opulence of a bygone era. At 15:46, board the high-speed Afrosiyob train bound for Samarkand. Day 7
Samarkand
After breakfast, begin your city tour with a visit to the iconic Registan Square, the heart of Samarkand. This magnificent square, surrounded by three grand medieval madrassahs, has been a center of education and culture for centuries. Continue to the impressive Bibi Khanum Mosque, a testament to Timur's architectural ambition. Explore the Museum of the Ancient City of Afrosiab, which provides fascinating insights into Samarkand’s rich history. End the day with a visit to the stunning Guri Emir, the "Tomb of the King", where the great conqueror Tamerlane and his descendants rest. This 14th-century masterpiece influenced the design of many world-famous structures, including the Taj Mahal in Agra. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8
Samarkand / Tashkent
After breakfast, begin your tour with a visit to the remains of the first observatory built by Ulugh Beg, a pioneering astronomer and ruler. Today, it houses a state museum showcasing his remarkable contributions to science. Continue to the Shakhi-Zinda Complex, a royal necropolis and an important pilgrimage site in Central Asia, renowned for its stunning tilework and spiritual significance. Later, proceed to Urgut, where you will experience the vibrant atmosphere of an old fabric market nestled in the picturesque mountain outskirts. This visit offers a glimpse into the less urbanized, traditional Uzbek way of life. At 17:58, board the high-speed Afrosiyob train to Tashkent. Overnight at the hotel.
